Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Ryung (Lee Joon Ki) acts as a useless gangster in the marketplace by day but at night he is a chivalrous robber who robs corrupt government officials to give to the poor. After each robbery he leaves behind a wooden branch from a plum tree at the site of the robbery to take responsibility for the robbery. The poor citizens only know him as Iljimae. Bong Soon (Lee Young Ah) is a hilarious girl with good martial art skills and lives as a swindler. She only loves Ryung and sacrifices her whole life for him. Eun Chan (Han Hyo Joo) is a politician’s daughter and is good in nature and usually helps miserable people. She meets Iljimae once by chance, and their sweet love story begins. However, her love puts Iljimae in a dangerous situation because an Imperial Guard (Park Shi Hoo) also loves her.

    The file for ep 3 is Ok, but the episode doesn’t seem complete. After combining them together I got a 43 min episode and it was abruptly cut. Dunno if the problem is only mine though. The file was 1,5Go

    as far as the shinhwas I dont think anyone knows for certain what happened with Shinhwas but since last week they havent release anything… so we can only speculate that they might not come back sniff sniff :(
    Like I said I’ll keep an eye to see if I find anything or see if they come back..
    and on the WoN Version I can say that Jtranla and Poptartsgurl (since they are the ones uploading this one) that they upload the first best available version, so you would have to ask them.. :-?

    hey ! thanks so much for uploading the dramas. I cannot get subtitle for ep 5 .. or 6.. etc.. when i go on gom player.. i open them up .. and nothing shows up. When i go to the options “subtitle” and than “subtitle explorer” i find there are no actual words on the files. Can this problem be explored? or is it my computer is not reading the files correctly? etc..?.. lol

    Perhaps try to redownload the subtitle again. It worked fine for me. Worse case reboot the pc … perhaps the other gals have a better solution. Sorry :roll:

    MeeJung, you’re having the same problem I had with KST’s previous subbing project On Air. Some of the subtitle files were saved as type Unicode or UTF-8 instead of ANSI, and weren’t supported by some media players. You can change this by opening the sub file in Notepad, click on “File”, select “Save As”, choose “ANSI” from the “Encoding” drop down at the bottom, and then click “Save”. That should allow you to play them using your GOM Player.

    Kay, thousands of people download from us and some have all kinds of problems. We are not mind readers. Syntax error pertaining???? Ental files you download and playing sub? 1.5 download playing subs. Subs not syncing perhaps because one says XVid and the other Xvid (see the minor difference?) Syntax because your computer do not have a codec. DO you see how long this conversation can be when you are not precise and we are not mind readers. We do this (fill in the blanks, we do not have a reason yet) but when people come to us with all sorts of questions when they can be more precise. It disheartens us, discourage us (you know the take take take and not give) and might eventually evaporate us. I am not targeting you (hmmmmm yes I am am) but please be more precise. If you go see a doctor, you will say, I have a syntax error while I tried to play my Ental Episode 8 with subs on VLC for example. There.

    Take the time to read our HELP section, then you will have a better understanding. Don’t think that a glance through will give you all the info you need as you are new.

    Ental, Shinhwa, Moohan, etc - it is just the different version of the same drama (compare to blue-ray and regular DVD) and the size of the video file. Otherwise, it is the same drama you are watching.

    If you read the information on each of the drama page. Some will be hardsub (which means the subtitle is together with the video file)…and majority will be softsub, that means the subtitle file is separate file with extention .SRT

    Like I said, read the HELP if you want to learn, download the video file and subtitle file, and play it. If you have problem, read the HELP section first and any comments left by other people to see if you can find your solution before you post your question here.

    Are you referring to the 720p version? File name and everything indicates that it is episode 17. I checked the source and play the video…it is definitely ep17.

    Go to the HELP section…hopefully it will resolve your problem. Might be you are missing some codec. There are a lot of different players that you can use. Please be very detailed in what you use and your problem if you want help from us.

    I dont think he is dead because when he gets “cut” by the sword it was with his sword and from what I remember his sword doesnt have a blade on it right. So it cant like cut or kill. If you watch when iljimae takes the other guys sword and throws it far to the side it still is there when the guy picks up the sword next to him to slash iljimae. That sword was iljimae’s sword i beleive so he isnt dead and you see him lying on the floor talking and if you were like cut that badly i think you would have just died and he doesnt close his eyes which usually happens when a main character is dying and flashbackingy xD and so yeah I think he is alive. but theres still a lot to explain like why he isnt with any girl or his family. also why does he give 2 pairs of shoes to the teacher? I didnt pay much attention to what they were talking about but to take a guess just from watching i think it was meant for iljimae and he might be alive >w<. well anyway i hope he is alive and thank you for reading my long long long long long long long comment ^^ yay for ILJIMAE!!!<3

    Actually the sword Iljimae gets hit by is not his sword. If you watch it again you can see there are inscriptions on the sword and I’m pretty sure Iljimae’s sword didn’t say anything on it. The hilt is also different but I believe he is still alive because of the 2 sets of shoes.

    about the freezing I dont know I havent watch the one yet so I dont know if there are any glitches. on the subs cause they are now available yet. Annchong is doing this one her free time, and lately she’s been quite busy with work, so it will be a bit longer till shes able to do them. U can still use the ental if you cant wait ;) heck I do that then I come back and rewatch with edited subs.. hehehe I dont mind taking a double dosage of Junki :lol:

    At which point does it freeze on you in E15? Let me know and I will check my version.

    As for the sub link, if it is not hilited then it is not available yet. Look at the top of the page “The subtitles are done by KST” (click on KST) then you can download what is available…but it will not sync well with the 720p version.

    Annchong does a LOT…I mean a LOT…of editing, timing, fixing spellings, adding missing stuff…the works…before she releases it for the 720p version. You will just have to wait if you want a good version.

    I don’t know how long it took her, but it used to take me more than an hr nonstop trying to fix the subtitle. And I am very very grateful for her endeavor :) Because if it was me, I would give up a long time ago ;)

    720p 1.5gb files should fit about 3 per dvd.
    On the subs, annchong is resyncing all the subs to those episodes and editing any timing/ or whatever she finds to make Iljimae super enjoyable, but she doesnt not take KST credits off or anything.. she just tweaks it ^^V … hope that answers ur questions

    indeed - that’s why I only burn the 700mb files onto DVD…so that I can watch it on my TV using my Divx compatible DVD player. Even though there is quality loss, especially on a HDTV, it’s better for my eyes than watching my computer screen all day long. :)

    You need to know someone with a kid or two in college. Kids in college get through at least one laptop a year, but the debris they bring home as evidence for why they need yet another handout so they can finish their assignments is often good enough to make a great dedicated video file player when tucked under an HDTV (they fit even better when the thing has been dropped - open - down six flights of stairs, completely severing the screen part from the keyboard. But hey, with an LCD TV, who needs a laptop screen anyway?)

    Like poptotsgurl, I used to copy the 700 mb files to DVD and play them on a 60 inch TV via a DivX compatible DVD player, but now that the 720p files are available I use a multimedia player (TivX M6500a) that will play most HD formats. There’s still a few codecs that it doesn’t support, like the Vorbis audio on the Robber files, but the majority of them are no problem and the results are fantastic. It’s hard for me to go back and watch any of the older SD series anymore.

    I just use ConvertXtoDVD software to encoded the video file into DVD format…so it can be played on any DVD players. If the file is 1.5gb, then I can fit 3eps into one DVD…but it needs at least 3hrs of processing to generate each DVD containing 3 eps…me got a slow machine :*(

    Afterward, we play it on HDTV and is it crystal clear! But nowadays, all my laptops are used for downloads and resync subs…have no time to burn anything to DVD…aigoo :(

    Yeah, I use ConvertXtoDVD as well but only for the SD files. Unfortunately when you convert the 720p files to DVD it will down-res them to a maximum resolution of 720×480 rather than the original 1280×720. Your DVD player may “up-convert” that to 720p or 1080i which will make it look sharper on your HDTV than a normal DVD video, but the quality won’t be as good as watching the 1280×720 file without conversion.

    Yup, I was about to say that jtranla’s player must be an upscaler to get that reported (subjective) quality from a DVD, because translation of a 720p original to DVD video format (as distinct from merely storing the file natively on a DVD disk) is inevitably lossy.

    BTW an upscaling DivX compatible player driving an HDTV through hdmi makes quite a good showing with xvid like the Entals, too. Obviously what isn’t there in the data can’t show [pores!], but upscaling technology is remarkably good at compensating. Given good kit, properly ajusted and connected (a cheap hdmi cable is worse than a piece of bellwire) there isn’t all that much difference between an upscaled ental and a downconverted-to-DVD 720p when shown on the same HDTV. The former never had the detail to begin with, the latter has lost it in the down-conversion to standard DVD format; but the wizardy of upscaling can work subjective wonders.
